Brava by BRius

We are excited to offer Brava by Brius at Ferrari Orthodontics.

What it is: Not braces. Not aligners. Independent movers!

Who says straightening teeth has to be awkward, inconvenient and take forever? Brava’s Independent Mover technology changes everything—hidden behind the teeth, it moves each tooth independently yet simultaneously for a more efficient solution in as few as four appointments.

What You Can Expect On Your Journey With Brava

Your Brava uses Personalized Independent Movement.

Your smile has been designed by your orthodontist using Brava software with Artificial Intelligence (AI). The beauty of independent movement is that the pre-programmed biomechanics move each tooth on a direct path to its ideal position and finds the most efficient path to the final destination.

Since every tooth and even the cells around each tooth are different, teeth may move in a way where spaces between teeth may open or close at different rates. This is normal and to be expected along your journey to an ideal smile.

1

Brava is Always Active

It applies continuous, gentle force 24/7. This efficient approach means shorter treatment time and fewer appointments. No wire changes or hassles with aligners.

2

Brava is Hidden

Placed on the back of your teeth, Brava works unseen throughout treatment. No one knows that you’re secretly moving your teeth on the way to your ideal smile.

3

Brava Adjusts and So Will You

Like orthodontic treatment, you and your Brava will take some time to get familiar and comfortable with each other. Adjustment time ranges from 1-2 weeks.

It’s normal to feel some tongue discomfort. It’s normal for your speech to feel and sound a little different while you acclimate. Rest assured these are only temporary sensations.

indirect bonding

What is indirect bonding?

The days of placing braces one by one are behind us!  In most cases, the braces can be set up ahead of time which allows for better positioning of the bracket, resulting in less appointments and shorter overall treatment time.

Simply put, braces are placed on models of the patient’s teeth ahead of time and later transferred to their actual teeth using a custom fabricated tray.  All of the brackets in the tray are coated with glue so that they can be bonded to the teeth at the same time as opposed to one at a time.

Why Use Indirect Bonding?

Our reasons for using indirect bonding are twofold:

  • Faster than traditional “one by one” direct bonding and therefore easier on the patient

  • More accurate placement of the braces which leads to smoother treatment and sometimes shorter overall treatment time
